Villa Padierna
Golf Club (Alferini)

Overview

Located in the scenic hills just beyond Marbella, the Villa Padierna resort showcases a trio of 18-hole golf courses, each offering distinct challenges and stunning views. Among them, the Alferini course stands out as the pinnacle of difficulty, having hosted the LET’s prestigious Andalucia Costa del Sol Open de España in 2022.

The Tramores course, a par 63 layout, spans 3,468 metres, providing a shorter yet satisfying round. In contrast, the Flamingos course, a par 71, stretches over 5,714 metres, striking a balance between challenge and playability. The longest of the trio, the Alferini course, boasts a par 73 and spans an impressive 6,641 metres, featuring several holes where water hazards from four lakes pose strategic challenges.

Key holes include the daunting 206-metre 8th, protected by a large pond in front of a shallow green, the picturesque 179-metre 14th with its peninsula green, and the strategically demanding par five 16th. This hole winds along an arroyo, narrowing as it ascends to a green flanked by sand traps.

The courses are strategically laid out, with holes 1, 2, 17, and 18 situated to the south of the Autopista AP-7, running along the coast, while the remainder traverse valley floors, offering a variety of playing experiences.
