St Francis Links

Overview

St Francis Links, located in the Eastern Cape of South Africa, is one of the country’s most prestigious golfing destinations. Designed by legendary golfer Jack Nicklaus, the course opened in 2006 and has gained recognition for its blend of challenging play and stunning natural beauty.

Situated on rolling coastal dunes with panoramic views of the Indian Ocean, the layout is a true links-style course. The course’s undulating fairways, deep bunkers, and tricky greens require strategic shot-making, while the coastal winds can add an extra challenge to any round. Each hole is thoughtfully routed, with some taking golfers along rugged dune ridges and others winding through indigenous fynbos vegetation.

In addition to its world-class golfing experience, St Francis Links offers a full-service clubhouse with fine dining, luxurious locker rooms, and a pro shop. The club has hosted major tournaments, further cementing its status as a top golfing venue. The course is also known for its eco-conscious design, with efforts to preserve the natural environment while enhancing playability.
