The UAE’s golf courses flourish amidst its striking desert landscapes, skillfully integrating water features and hybrid grass to create impeccable fairways. According to the Emirates Golf Federation, there are currently 21 golf clubs in the UAE, a number that continues to grow. Most clubs are concentrated in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, but Ras Al Khaimah and Sharjah also offer excellent golfing options. 

Historically, Dubai has been recognized for its premier courses, particularly the Majlis course at The Emirates Club, which has hosted the prestigious Dubai Desert Classic for years. Recently, Greg Norman introduced two new courses, Fire and Earth, at Jumeirah Golf Estates, adding fresh excitement to the scene. Meanwhile, Abu Dhabi’s golf offerings have surged in prestige, thanks to the remarkable Yas Links and Saadiyat Beach courses designed by Kyle Phillips and Gary Player, alongside the National course. This has elevated Abu Dhabi’s golfing reputation, making it a formidable competitor to Dubai.
